BITS Pilani has ensured the creation of a classless, casteless society and thousands of BITS alumni take pride in identifying themselves as Indians and not belonging to any caste, religion or language.
Never ever did we see any discrimination towards or for a student@ BITS based on caste/language/religion and never will we see it too, for in India today we are the ONLY UNIVERSITY which does not entertain any quota; be it Management/NRI/SC/ST/OBC. The only admission criteria at BITS is Merit with equal rights to all, and it will always remain so.

The task of a University is the creation of future and every student of BITS Pilani understands that Future indeed belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams and a dreamer is one who can find his way through the night of a new moon day and see the dawn before the rest of the world. BITSians have time and again proved that they do not shirk from putting their best foot forward to march out boldly and seize the opportunities to face the challenges head on.

Its a private college, but there is no reservation for the Birla family too.
Another little known fac: When G D Birla setup the college at the request from Nehru, Nehru put a special clause in the Indian constitution which says that there will be no political interference in the administration of BITS Pilani, and it takes 2/3rd majority in parliament to remove that clause.
Wow! The information about the special clause in the constitution of India is something which is really not known! Way to go BITS! :)
